As an Accredited Network Childminder, NCMA member, CRB checked and Ofsted registered since 2002, I offer quality childcare in a warm home-like environment, tailored to each child’s individual needs.

As a Childminder based in Blakebrook, Kidderminster, Wyre Forest, Worcs, we are easily accessed from Bewdley, Stourport and Bridgnorth. 

I am a childminder registered for up to 5 children age 0-7 years, 3 of which can be under 5 years old (2 under 12 months if req) . I can also provide cover for 8+ years. I also offer government funded nursery places for 3-4 yr olds. Ours is a non-smoking, non-smacking household. My own children are 7 and 12 years old, excluded from the above ratio. As at October 2009 I am only offering care to 2 under 5's at any one time rather than 3 (This trial has been working well.)

 As EVERY CHILD MATTERS, I treat all children as individuals, who are encouraged to progress and develop at their own speed, with extra assistance or encouragement when necessary.

My commitment is to ensuring children achieve the best they are able to, with encouragement, support and enthusiasm. I use my childcare training, childminding experience and parenting skills, to make sure children have choices that encourage development through fun and natural learning instincts. Consistency and clarity aids learning and self expression in all ages.

Childminding and Childcare has moved forward since Ofsted have been in charge of inspecting Childcare  providers / settings. People often look for Childcare asking if you do Babysitting or are a daycare nursery. Many Childcarers now are qualified and more now to level 3 like me, unlike babysitters or neighbours etc. The government also acknowledge that for babies and young children a home based setting has many more benefits, with more Childminders acheiving an Outstanding grade than any other type of Childcare setting. In nurseries they are advised to use Key Workers, to mimic the bond parents & childminders provide.

 It may also be worth noting when looking for a childminder, that although they have minimal contact with the children, we have a Persian cat, and tropical fish, so this setting may not be for you if you or your child have any animal phobias, dislikes or allergies.
