Its official, my Ofsted inspection (5/11/8) was graded OUTSTANDING in ALL areas! Further details to follow! 

In my last ( 2005) Ofsted report I was graded with 3 areas of OUTSTANDING  practice, and 2 GOOD practice, A GOOD grade overall, which I feel is reflected in my daily practice. I pride myself in dealing with children in a clear and consistent manner, whether their parents/carers are present or at work.  I am of course working continually to ensure all 5 areas are now at an outstanding level.

Childcare setting are currently inspected, six monthly, yearly or 3 yearly depending on the outcome of their last inspection. From September 2008 the Early Years Foundation Stage came into force, with new criteria for child care settings for 0-5 to meet, the grading and method of inspection has now been actioned though not many settings have been through this new format yet. The care of 5-8 year olds is still under Ofsted but you need to be on the Compulsory Childcare Register to care for this age group, and only a small percentage rate are inspected anually or if a complaint needs investigating.
