I am qualified to NVQ LEVEL 3 in EARLY YEARS & CHILDCARE (0-5), and CACHE LEVEL 2 in PLAYWORK( 5-15). I update my training on a regular basis attending many training sessions each year. I also keep up to date with current practice & have renewed my PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID qualification now valid until June 2010. |

As a member of the network, I am quality assured under the NCMA 'CHILDREN COMES FIRST' scheme, though I have also passed my individual Level 3 NCMA 'QUALITY FIRST' Quality Assurance Award. I have also (January 2009) been awarded my Bronze Healthy Settings Award, covering the areas of Healthy Food and Health realted exercise. In October 2009 I will be continuing with this in order to acheive a Silver Award. |
| OFSTED INSPECTION |
|---|
| In my most recent Ofsted report I was graded with all 5 areas of OUTSTANDING practice, an OUTSTANDING grade overall, which I feel is reflected in my daily practice. I pride myself in dealing with children in a clear and consistent manner, whether their parents/carers are present or at work. I am of course working continually to ensure all 5 areas are consistantly at an outstanding level. Please see details of my inspection report on a seperate link on my Home page. |
| Assistants, Experience & Training |

My husband, both sisters and I have undertaken a paediatric first aid course, and my sister without parenting experience has also qualified up to Cache level 2 in Playwork. (5-15yrs) I have been an active child minder for over 7 years, and my none childcare qualifications are up to a National Diploma in Business and Finance, (OND)(A-level equivalent level). I am pleased that I have moved forward so quickly with my childcare qualifications and Quality Assurance Awards, given that only First Aid and a LEVEL ONE qualification are actually compulsory at present. |

I am also a Support Childminder for Worcestershire Early Years, offering informal advice and support to those wishing to become a childminder, right through their registration process and until they have been registered for a whole year. These new childminders are usually from Kidderminster, Bewdley, or Stourport and are welcome to join Wyre Forest Childminding Group either alone or with support, though this is optional. |
