THIS SECTION IS UNDER REVIEW, KEEP LOOKING FOR NEW PAGE It is likely in any one week that the children of all ages in my care will attend most of the following, (dependent on their needs that week), most activities are based in Kidderminster or Wyre Forest though some activities are further afield. SWIMMING, (at least fortnightly) SOFT PLAY AREAS, PLAY OR WALK AT LOCAL PARK, and those in surrounding towns LIBRARY, VISIT THE WOODS, TODDLER GROUP, SURE-START RELATED ACTIVITIES, INTERACTION WITH OTHER MINDERS CHILDREN OF SIMILAR AGES, ICE SKATING ONCE A MONTH FOR THE UNDER 5'S. We also have regular activities within the setting based usually on which children are present and their interests and skills. I am also trained as a MELODY MUSIC MONKEY teacher and have the proper equipment that the children take great delight in accessing, and also taking their turn to teach each other( once trained, of course!) |

Milk or fresh juice is available neat or diluted dependent on age and natural squash is available occasionally. Junk food/chocolate/sweets/crisps/biscuits/ice cream etc - These items are not banned from my setting, though we actively encourage each other to make healthier choices. Although most of us like these foods, they are not classed as ’treats’ as we are aware they are less good for us than other healthier options. Parents who have strong views on these items or children with allergies/intolerances or cultural requirements need to make their personal choices clear at settling in sessions/paperwork updates or as the need arises. |
