NCMA’s Quality Childminding Charter

In order to become a Worcestershire Network Childminder you must have a Good or Outstanding grade in your most recent Ofsted report, Be qualified to Level 3 in Childcare or willing to work towards this within an set period, and also be willing to complete your own Quality Assurance Award asap. You must also agree to planned visits and a unplanned/surprise visit from your network co-ordinator to confirm you are maintaining standards higher than the Ofsted minimum.  Please contact me if you have any further queries regarding the Network.

All NCMA members agree to work to NCMA’s 10 Quality Standards but Children Come First network members also agree to work by NCMA’s Quality Childminding Charter. The Charter covers:

Childminding status. Children’s learning and development. Working in partnership with parents/families. Children’s behaviour. Equality of opportunity/anti-discrimination. Confidentiality. Keeping children safe.Nutrition and diet. Continuity. Business practice. Support and liaison.

Childminders must demonstrate their knowledge in these areas before they can join a Children Come First network.

Only accredited childminders in a Children Come First network can offer early years education and access government funding.
